The project
A waterfront kitchen, designed and furnished end to end.
This home sits on the banks of the Banana River, where the owners had begun a large pool project in the backyard. The original pool contractor could not handle the size of the project and bailed. A pool company we had started to work with asked if we could step in on certain parts of the build, and we were able to finalize the design for the kitchen structure, add a breezeway through the backsplash wall under the TVs, and build everything under the structure.
From there we designed and furnished the entire space, including a bathroom area underneath the kitchen and furnishings for all of the porches around the house. One detail stands out: the quad-stacked refrigeration setup. It is four refrigerators stacked and tied together to create a full-size column, which was the only viable option at the time for a full-size, outdoor-rated refrigeration setup. The result was featured in the True Residential catalog for several years.
What they wanted
A stalled waterfront project, picked back up.
This project came to us through a pool contractor who was taking over a job where the previous contractor had failed and quit. The owners needed a team that could finish the design for the outdoor kitchen and bar, then carry it all the way through to a furnished, fully usable space on the water.
What we built
The full outdoor kitchen, bar, and seating, on the water.
We designed the full outdoor kitchen and bar space, working from the preliminary dimensions on the original plans from the previous contractor. We then designed and furnished all of the outdoor furniture and seating, including the kitchen, open seating areas, umbrellas, adirondacks, a firepit, and barstools.
